Make Up – The Beautiful Holiday Eye

by Marion G Shaw on December 12, 2011

We all want to look that little bit special over the holidays,  this look is beautiful and although she has perfect (and young) skin, it can be adapted for a more mature eye.

On that crepey skin be careful when using the glitter.  Very shiny eyeshadows tend to accentuate the less than perfect, however, just that little spot of glitter on the center of the eyelid makes the eye look so bright and gives a rounder contour to the lid.

Hi – I am a Professional Makeup Artist, Professional Skin Care Consultant and Certified Aromatherapist. I am also a Certified Medical Transcriptionist but had to give it up when I developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and had to have surgery on my right wrist. I have 3 diplomas and 2 awards in Quality Control and Quality Education Systems, so I also consult on the side. I always knew that Aromatherapy played roles in the beauty industry, but when I was recovering from surgery I started studying it in more depth. When I discovered the therapeutic value of essential oils my medical persona came out to play. Now my goal is to marry the two disciplines; having them working together and appreciating what each has to offer instead of snarling at each other and putting each other down. When I add my experience in Quality Control to the mix, it becomes the best of all worlds! I don’t have any children of my own, but my husband has a couple of younger nieces that are interested and I would like to have some kind of legacy to pass on to them and for the benefit of mankind! A lofty goal to be sure, but one I believe in so firmly that I know it will come to pass (eventually) lol. Anyway, I would appreciate any comment or suggestions you may have. Sincerley, Posh Paula (Industry nickname – I’ve been doing this for over 40 years now).

Hello Paula, thank you for your comment. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself and many physicians are now recognizing the beneficial effects of using their science and natural therapies together. What are your thoughts? Are you developing a line of essential oil products? Many people are interested in this, however, many people are also doing it. What are your writing skills like? How about a story for each product or oil? Also a blog site. The marketing is the most labour intensive part and has to be constant in order for something to be successful. Feel free to message me back, my e-mail address is busy_bus@telus.net. Good luck, I look forward to hearing from you again.
