Yesterday I had the wonderful experience of my first Hydrafacial MD facial, which I will definitely repeat.
This is not your touchy/feely relaxing spa facial, although the surroundings at Rejuva Laser and Medispa are very luxurious and I am assured that massage can be added for that extra special feeling, however, the results are wonderful!

What is Hydrafacial? It targets the areas that the skin really needs in order to look younger and fresher. Cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and anti-oxidant protection, all done very efficiently, no pain, no discomfort, in just about 20 minutes. Ladies, now you can have this great service done in your lunch hour and return to the office with your skin glowing, refreshed, beautifully hydrated and just looking great.
Hydrafacial targets fine lines and wrinkles, impure skin, enlarged pores, oily or acne prone skin. A diamond tipped “sanding” head with a vacuum takes off all of the dead skin cells and clears them away, leaving your skin open to accepting the following steps. The skin is then infused with a solution that helps to soften impurities, blackheads, whiteheads and milia are then pulled out of the skin, leaving your skin the cleanest it has ever been. Doesn’t hurt a bit. Much more comfortable than the usual extraction tools that are used by estheticians in your local spa or salon. An infusion of anti-oxidants follows and hyaluronic acid is the final step, which is massaged into the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is produced by the body and is completely compatible with the skin. It is one of the most powerful hydrating substances, having the capability of attracting and holding up to 1,000 times it’s weight in water.
Result – My skin felt wonderful. I couldn’t stop touching it, it was smooth, soft yet plump and very moist. It also looked really healthy. Normally I wouldn’t want to go out without make-up as I feel that my skin has uneven colour, however after the facial treatment, it looked healthy and more even textured and coloured. I felt comfortable without make up, in fact I didn’t want to apply make up to cover up the wonderful work that had been done.
